VINTAGE PALISSY DRESSING TABLE SET Rd No 693121

Vintage set comprising a pair of candlesticks and two small bowls, all decorated as shown with bluebirds set against a summer sky. 

Approximate measurements as follows: candlesticks 13.5cm high; larger bowl 4.5cm high x 7.5cm diameter across the top; smaller bowl 3.5cm high x 6.5cm diameter.  All four pieces are backstamped with the manufacturer's mark and Rd no 693121.

The set would benefit from some restoration in places: one candlestick has a chip to the underside of the rim (when viewed from above, this appears as a small chip to the rim), the other is scuffed in one or two places around the rim.  Both candlesticks have various scuffs to the glaze.  The bowls have a little caramel-coloured discolouration to the rim, and minor scuffing to the glaze here and there.  However, these remain eye-catching pieces, nevertheless, thanks to the pattern and colours, and are offered at a realistic starting price.
