Mexican Fire Opal Ring

So here is the thing. I was antiquing down by the Mexican border yesterday. I found a Mexican couple selling these Mexican fire opal rings in sterling silver. They are vintage, never worn old lapidary shop stock. I purchased 13 pieces that will all be offered on eBay starting today. Each will be listed separately. If you like them I can get more, but probably only one more time and then they will be all gone. If you love a stone, but the ring does not fit, none of the stones are glued in. The artist did that on purpose. Your jeweler can simply bend the prongs, remove the stone, size the ring and reset the stone. If you take a look, most of the pieces have very long prongs that wrap around the stone, but don't put pressure on them. That is because jelly opals can craze and it is best to not pressure them. This stone is a Mexican matrix opal. Part of the opal is so clear that you can look right through it! It has nice pink and red matrix and the opal is a clear jelly opal with color in the sun. Stone measures 15mm x 11mm. The face of the ring measures 1" x 3/4". It is a size 8 1/2. Marked 925. Some photos were taken indoors and some in the sun so you can see how the stone reacts to different lighting conditions. What a great find!

I think that Best Offer is the best feature eBay ever brought to the market. Here is how I price my items. My listed price is what I would like to be paid for the piece. However, I am sure that you want to get a smoking hot deal...I would too. So, I have a price set into the system that will automatically be accepted if you make an offer. You make the offer and it is yours. Then there is the price that is what I paid or less that will automatically be declined. Then there is a small area in the middle where the system will send me the offer so I can consider it. While I am thinking about it, someone else can make a higher offer an buy it out from under you. The system does not put the item on hold for you. I usually accept most offers. It depends on how long I have had the item and how much I paid for it, but I figure if I give you a good deal, you will come back...and that is my ultimate goal. I work very hard to find awesome things at great prices so I can pass that along to you. I don't just go out and buy, I look for the best, high quality stuff that does not have inflated retail prices. Those deals are out there and I aim to find them all! If I get a good deal, you get a good deal. The name of the game! I am not one of those sellers that lists an item and sits on it for years because I am stubborn and want my retail price. I like to find homes for these treasures and move them on out so I can go find more. I love the treasure hunt. So, if you like it, don't be afraid to make and offer. I am happy to accept Paypal. Paypal must be from a confirmed address. I ship daily. If you do not receive your item lightening fast, please contact me. I may have missed your payment. It is an easy thing to do with the Paypal system as it is. If you pay by Paypal e-check, your item will be held until payment clears which can be 7 days..AND VERY IMPORTANT-Please contact me when your payment clears as Paypal does not always notify me when payment clears and it will not show on my manifest unless I go all the way back to the original page to find it. That won't happen. I guarantee I will forget that there is a pending payment. Sometimes those checks bounce just like a paper check. I need to count on you to tell me that your e-check has cleared so I can ship. Hopefully the system will change to make it easier to track these payments

First class and Priority mail is used for small items. Insurance is not included in shipping quote. I will add insurance options to the invoice at auctions' end. I highly suggest that you purchase insurance, even if you have free shipping in case of damage or loss. I do not file claims. I will pack your box for WAR. In the unlikely event that an item is damaged, you can call the carrier an open a claim. I will provide paperwork to carrier if they request it. I am not self insured. If a claim is denied, I do not pay the insured amount. If the item is large, UPS will be the chosen carrier. If you are International, shipping for jewerly over $25.00 is Express. Until Paypal changes policies about customs and protects sellers better, it is the only way I will ship. Do not bid and try to talk me out of it. It won't work. If you do not want to pay $28.95 for shipping, don't buy it from me.

All sales are final unless I have made a mistake in my description. The items that I offer are used antiques or vintage. Unless I specify that an item is "mint", it will not be. I will describe each item to the best of my ability. I supply many photos for your inspection. Please look carefully at photos and ask questions. I just got a new iphone so I can check emails much more frequently. (If you are an avid eBayer, I highly recommend the iphone! It is the most amazing piece of equipment. I LOVE IT!)
