This brooch is genuine Vintage

set in hallmarked sterling silver -

Birmingham 1948 - NOT a copy.

The brooch depicts a large American

Eagle set with sparkling marcasites which

are also known as black diamonds.

The Eagle is the symbol of America

and this brooch clearly shows the

magestic bird in flight.

 

The eye of the eagle is a single

rich, deep pink ruby.

The attention to detail is second to none

from the eye to the open beak and the

claws to the open span of

the glorious wings. 

 

It weighs 17.4 grams.

 

In very good condition

it looks absolutely stunning when worn.

 

 The dimensions are

80mm across and 35mm down -

that's 3 1/4 inches

by 1 1/2 inches.
