VINTAGE HARVEY ERA SILVER CUFF 30-40S~SILVER ARROW CO.

With the new year quickly approaching, I have been going through the over-abundance of jewelry in my jewelry chest...and once again, Eddie is dropping hints about the amount of rings I have - compared to the 10 fingers I have to put them on. This is a yearly event and every time, I realize he's right...and pull out rings that haven't seen the light of day in years. So here I go again...selling off my children's "inheritance".

This is a hand made, vintage, American Indian cuff from my personal jewelry collection. I was told it's from the 30's or 40's. It's been sitting in my jewelry box for way too long...I guess it's time for a new home with someone who loves to collect and wear Harvey era jewelry... This is a great example of "tourist jewelry". The cuff has an applied fluted button in the middle and hand stamped thunderbirds, crossed arrows, cactus and other tribal symbols down each side of the shank.

The cuff is 5 1/2 inches in length plus a 1 and 1/8 inch gap, and is slightly out of round...but it's flexible and can be reshaped to what's comfortable for you. It's a bit over 3/8 of an inch in width in the front, and tapers verys slightly to the ends. It has a beautiful deep patina...it's stamped sterling and is hallmarked by the Silver Arrow company, which was one of the shops that made this type of jewelry for tourists who traveled the country by train in the early half of the 1900's. It does show wear appropriate to it's age and travels, but there are no cracks in the silver and the applied button is firmly set on the shank. This cuff is fairly rare and very collectible and will make a terrific addition to your American Indian jewelry collection. Have a look...
