VINTAGE HAND EMBROIDERED FLORAL NEEDLEPOINT
This skillfully hand embroidered 1940's needlework was done by an accomplished needlewoman. A canvas was used as a foundation, and the stitches are worked with wool thread. The foundation was usually held taut in a frame as the stitches were worked in, at 10 stitches per inch. CONDITION: The condition of the needlework is excellent, with no fading, no stains, and the colors are vibrant. Stamped Barilla. MEASUREMENTS: The finished needlework on canvas measures 17" x 38". The original frame canvas measures 39-1/4'' x 23-1/2''. This pristine needlepoint is ready for any project. I have listed and will be listing many similar needlepoint pieces from this wonderful estate. I also have a nice inventory of similar needlepoint in the NEEDLEPOINT section of MY EBAY STORE
