VINTAGE "GOOGLY" CRICKET CARD GAME BY SMITH & HALLAM

This is a vintage card game called "Googly" based on the game of cricket.

The game is complete with all 98 cards, rule leaflet and several score sheets (some have been used but there are some unused ones which can be photocopied if more are required).  The game is for all ages and can be played in teams, with up to 11 players in each team (or any number down to 1 a side!) or as a solo game of patience.  Full instructions are provided and the game proceeds much as a real cricket game would, with the cards deciding events.  The cards are in two packs, one for batting and one for bowling.

The game has been used and the instructions have some creases and small tears but the cards themselves are in very good/near mint condition.  The card box is complete but there is a split up one corner, a small tear on one side and a few scuff marks; overall in good condition.

Made by Smith and Hallam Ltd ("Patent Applied For" and priced at "3/6"), there is no date to be seen but I believe it dates from the early 1950s (I have seen claims that it is pre Second World War, which I doubt).
