GREAT VINTAGE EMPTY DECANTER/ BOTTLE
RARE, UNIQUE, GOODERHAM & WORTS BOTTLE w/man's face
Look carefully at our photos, and note the excellent, unique image of a man's face and flowing beard, which continues down and around the sides of the bottle. Brown glass bottle measures 9'" from top of metal cap to bottom of bottle. In addition to the decorative details, there is a clear marking on the bottom which reads; "G&W Trademark Registered 3 ". there is also a small diamond shape with the letter "D" in it. WOULD BE A GREAT ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTION
Included is a "jigger", or metal cap/cup, which screws into place. The raised letters "G & W" are on top;it also reads "made in usa".

Founded in 1832 by brothers-in-law William Gooderham and James Worts, the Gooderham and Worts Distillery produced millions of gallons of distilled whiskey and spirits in the 1800's. After the Great War prohibition set in and business began to slow. In 1990 after over a century and a half of continuous production the distillery ceased operations.
On this website, a full bottle is claimed to have been valued at $500 in 1985.
