An Acid Etched Glass Soda Syphon From Schweppes Ltd.
This syphon is one of six that I found recently in a pub in the Scottish Highlands that had come under new ownership and was due for refurbishment.
The Syphon stands approximately 12 inches (30.5cm) high and weigh about 1.5 kilo's each before packaging.
The etched design on the front of the syphon carries the schweppes trade mark and the Royal Warrent with the superscription; "By Appointment To Her Majesty The Queen. Minelar Water Manufactures, Schweppes Ltd."
There is some water still in the bottom of each syphon, as I do not know how these syphons are opened and recharged I did not want to risk damaging any of them.
The photos shown are representative of all six syphons that I currently have for sale and are not necessarily of the actual syphon you will recieve, please look at the photos of this Glass Schweppes Acid Etched Soda Syphon as my description does not do it credit and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
The postage prices quoted are for UK buyers Royal Mail Standard Parcels Delivery.
As always, local buyers are welcome to collect in person.
International bidders, please contact me before bidding for details of delivery costs to your location. Due to high banking charges I can only accept PayPal or cheques drawn on a U.K bank for overseas transactions.
We always obtain proof of postage should an item get damaged or lost in the post this can be forwarded to you, additional compensation cover can be arranged at standard Royal Mail rate upon request.
If you are purchasing more than one item please wait for an invoice before payment as where possible I will combine postage costs to reduce overall prices.
Nearly all of my items are used and most are of considerable age, I describe major and obvious faults but most old items collect small scuffs, surface marks and signs of wear during their years of service that would be impossible to list all, so please, if there are any points you would like to clarify before bidding, please feel free to ask, and I would be happy to supply extra photos (please supply your email address) should you need them to satisfy yourselves on any area important to you.
NEW ZEALAND BUYERS, its seems for some very odd reason that ebay do not recognize NZ as a postal country as you are not on the list, so for ease, check the AUSTRALIAN postage and that is what it will cost you,.
I make every effort to ensure the item you purchase reaches you in good condition by using adequate amounts of bubble wrap & packing etc. All these packing items have to be bought and the cost is reflected in the total postage cost. Please check the postage cost before bidding and only bid if you are happy with the charge.
I cannot however, be responsible for the whims and behaviour of the postal service, but in the unlikely event of loss or damage, I always obtain proof of posting and would be happy to forward this on to you should you need to make claim.
The overseas postage price is for airmail but if you would like it to be sent surface which is cheaper, I would be happy to do this, this way can take up to 12 weeks (in 2 instances 15 weeks) so this is not really an option if you want the item quickly.
Thank you very much for taking the time to look at my items, and any questions are welcome.
