VINTAGE FRENCH: Limoges Porcelain Childrens' 'Keep Hot' Dish

 

This is such a sweet item - a lovely Limoges dish, with a reservoir for hot water to keep baby's food warm...

 

This dish, made around 1960 still has the little bird stopper that covers the hole for the hot water.  The cork has been replaced, but the cheeky little bird is perfect.

 

The design in the middle is of a large teddy holding a basket, with another teddy holding a stick with a garland of flowers.

 

The edge of the dish has a pale pink band, with floral gilding, now slightly worn, with matching gilding on the bird's support, worn, and the bird itself.

 

Size: 7 ins/18 diametre

 

Will go economic postage direct from Limoges, France 800 grams
