Item - long Traditional French shelf edging

Possible use -shelf,dresser or mantle edging

Type of fabric -rustic weave

embroidery - simple  flowers in lavender & sap green silk,

with a cream  cotton tassle edge.

 Condition -very good

Colour of fabric -  off white

My comment - another charming edging  coming from a marché aux puces in Narbonne

sewn by hand .

these 'samplers' were often made at school,sometimes from worn sheets by young girls who kept them towards their truseau.
