 This fixed price auction is for a generous 1 metre (39.5") of this beautiful, supple unused vintage French gold metal lame ribbon from the 1950s. It is quite a wide ribbon, at just under 2.5" or 6cms wide. It came from a factory in France that had closed down, and is of the highest quality, flat section gold metal strands ( a burn test proves it to be metal, NOT synthetic or polyester) woven into a cotton or rayon mesh to create a wonderful ribbon.
