VINTAGE  English Sterling Silver thimble by, HENRY GRIFFITHS & SON of Leamington Spa. This thimble at 78 years old is in good condition. No needle holes, dents or distortions. The base rim is just a mere tad out of round. It has a good set of Hallmarks as follows:- H.G&S. ANCHOR, the Assay stamp for Birmingham. LION PASSANT, indicating English Sterling Silver. Upper register G., the date letter for 1931. Size 18. On the opposite side of the thimble it is stamped, THE SPA. The thimble has a narrow flat rolled plain base band that carries the Hallmarks. The remainder of the thimble is covered in the STAR pattern. It measures 21. mm. tall, with a base diameter of 17. mm. It weighs 3.3. grams.
