VINTAGE English Sterling Silver thimble by HENRY GRIFFITHS & SON. This item is 83 years old, and in good condition. There are no needle holes, distortions or dents. The base rim is a tad out of round, or slightly finger shaped. A good set of Hallmarks. H.G &S., for Henry Griffiths & Son. Anchor stamp, the Birmingham assay office. Lion Passant, indicating English Sterling Silver. Upper register B., the date letter for 1926. Size 17. Off set plain base band carrying the Hallmarks. The remainder of the thimble is covered in the Daisy Head pattern. It measures 21. mm. tall, with a base diameter of 17. mm. It weighs in at 3.5. grams.
