You are bidding on a carved coquilla nut depicting a tribal looking face. On one side of the nut there is also a much smaller carving of a face wearing what looks like a hat, with the initials AG carved inside it. It looks to be of some age as it has a lovely dark patina and a shrinkage crack along one side. There is also a small hole in the bottom end of the nut. This could be either a sailors carving or a tribal piece. I would be grateful for any information about this.
