ESTATE PURCHASE

This item was purchased from the estate of a lady who years ago lived the high life & on the town in Kansas City, Mo. in the 30's,40's & 50's...parties, theater..the glamorous life. She had  very unique items.

This is a hand made in Germany ASBRO glass bead coin purse. Made in Germany, but has ASBRO Trade Mark Reg US Pat. Office on the label. It is hand beaded and stitched...even the inside label is hand stitched in it. The condition is very good considering I believe this is from the 1920's to the 40's. The inside has 2 sides to it, it is not torn or have any holes, but it does have use soil which can be seen in the photos. (it looks worse in the photos than it actually is) I'm not even sure what the fabric inside is, but it reminds me of a type of oil cloth?? It has a little shine, and is slightly stiff. There are a few missing beads, but not very many at all. xcept for the black top beads on just 1 side, the others look like that's the way the beading was done.  I showed this in the pics. The stitching is loose on one side at the top where the 2 sides are sewn together & it needs the male side of a small snap put back on...these would both be very easy to fix. I personally think this looks like a very colorful Pansy. It measures 3 3/8" across...both sides are beaded with the same pattern...see 1st & 2nd photos they are of both sides.
