Payment is to be made within five days of the auction ending.

UK bidders Paypal, Cheques, and Postal Orders are all acceptable forms of payment.

International Bidders please use Paypal.

Your item will usually be dispatched by (1st class post within the UK and by Airmail outside the UK), the next working day after payment has cleared, but please allow up to five working days.

Insurance is included for items with a value of up to £36 for 1st class mail and Airmail.

Shipping insurance or additional compensation cover for items with a value greater than £36 will be payable by the customer, I will send a revised invoice so please wait for the invoice before checking out.

In the event you require a fast shipping service such as Special Delivery or Airsure for an important item or a special occassion please email me and I will send out a revised invoice.

Postage discounts will be given so please wait for me to send you an invoice if you have won/bought more than one item.

 ITEM NOT RECEIVED/DAMAGED?

In the event that you have not received your item (see below) or if it has been damaged please email uptotheninesvintage@googlemail.com and I will start a claim for compensation with Royal Mail.

If you are a UK customer please allow 15 days, if you are a European customer please allow 20 days, and if you are an International customer please allow 25 days, before contacting me by email regarding an item that has not been received, Royal Mail will not accept claims before these time scales.  Contact uptotheninesvintage@googlemail.com

 As soon as I have received compensation from Royal Mail, a refund will be paid directly to you the customer.

Compensation claims can take several weeks and it is sometimes required that the person who has received/not received the item completes a form.

 COLLECT IN PERSON

Winning bidders are welcome to collect in person if they wish to.  I am based in Lancing in West Sussex.  Please email after you have won an item if you wish to arrange a collection.

  COURIERS

Winning bidders are welcome to arrange for their own courier to collect an item.  Please email me if you wish to arrange your own courier.

REFUNDS & RETURNS

 I offer a refund on items that are returned unworn/unused and with all the tags still attached when returned with the Returns Form (included with your item) within 14 days of receipt of goods.

To return items please fill out the Returns Form with your Name, Address, eBay item number (this will be on your invoice) and the Reason for return.

You the customer are liable to pay the returns postage cost. I recommend that you use a suitable postage service and ensure that the item is properly insured to cover the value of the item.

It is recommended that you obtain a proof of posting certificate (just ask at the post office), which you will need should the item be lost or damaged in the post. Items are returned at your own risk.

Items are returned at your own cost. I regret that Up to the Nines Vintage cannot refund the cost of postage once orders have been dispatched.

Once the item/s has been received you will receive a refund (the original cost of your item) in the form that the original payment was made i.e. if you paid with paypal you will receive your refund via paypal.

CONDITION RATINGS

Please see below for the vintage clothing condition ratings, everything in my eBay shop is in wearable condition, unless it is marked as 'Fair, Poor or As Seen'.

Excellent: Clothing marked 'excellent' has been either unworn or barely worn, fabric is in super clean condition, and there are no flaws.

Very Good Condition: Clothing marked 'very good' is in near perfect condition, but maybe a few minor flaws that don't detract from the item being worn. I may describe and item as 'very good to 'excellent' condition which would mean that it has been worn, but is still crisp with no flaws or a minor flaw.

Good Condition: Clothing marked 'good condition' is in wearable condition but may have a few flaws. If you are very finicky, picky about wearing something with noticeable flaws, you may want to pass on these items and stick to items that are in 'very good' or 'excellent' condition.

Fair, Poor and As Seen Condition: Those items are meant for collectors, costumers or people who like a challenging project to work on. These items show obvious wear and noticeable flaws. Most of those aren't wearable and require a fair bit of work to make them so.

DESCRIPTIONS AND SIZES

I take the time to carefully measure the garments that I have for sale - most garments are measured laying flat i.e. bust/chest would be measured armpit-to-armpit.

It is advisable to add on 2 inches to these measurements to allow free movement within a garment especially with men's suits, jackets, coats, etc.

I also state the original size of a garment if it is shown on a label - please be aware that sizes have changed a great deal over the years i.e. a 1950's dress labelled a size 16 would be closer to a modern size 10/12, please check the individual measurements for each garment.

I try to give detailed descriptions of each garment, including a detailed description of the condition - each item is described to the best of my knowledge regarding eras, fabrics, colours, etc.

GARMENT CARE

Please Note: Garment care instructions are given for guidance only. Cleaning or washing of a garment is undertaken at the buyers own risk.

PHOTOGRAPHS

Please be aware that some photographs are lightened to show detail, especially on some black garments.

Digital photographic image colours can vary depending on how individual computer monitors are set up, on lighting conditions etc, in the event a colour varies vastly from the photo it will normally be mentioned in the listing.
