APPROX 5 ¾ inches long x 3 ¼ wide

(14.5 x 8.3cm)

 

OVAL  IN SHAPE AND IN THE FORM OF A TENNIS RACKET

BURGUNDY AND BLACK COLOUR WITH CREAM INNER

 

A LOVELY EMBOSSED FIGURE PLAYING TENNIS ON THE FRONT WHILE THE BACK HAS BEEN LEFT PLAIN

 

SILK CORD THREADED THROUGH RINGS UP SIDE OF BAG

TO FORM HANDLE WITH LARGE TASSEL AT THE BOTTOM

 

INSIDE HAS A CREAM LINING IN SATIN OR SILK

WITH A POCKET AT EITHER SIDE

ONE SIDE HAS A MIRROR GLUED TO THE POCKET

THE OTHER SIDE HAS AN EXTRA POCKET WITH PRESS STUD FASTENER

THIS ALSO HAS A TAB ATTACHED BUT NOTHING ATTACHED TO IT SO MAY HAVE HELD THE MIRROR ORIGINALLY

 

CONDITION

 

IN REASONABLE CONDITION FOR AGE

BUT DOES HAVE FAULTS

ONE OF THE SIDE RINGS HAS BROKE OFF THE SIDE OF BAG, THIS IS STILL PRESENT AND COULD BE GLUED BACK ON WITH THE RIGHT GLUE AND A BIT OF CARE

 

THE ROPE HANDLE ALSO HAS WEAR AND HAS SOME SEWING MARKS – THIS COULD EASILY BE REPLACED

 

THE MIRROR INSIDE IS IN BAD CONDITION AS YOU CAN ONLY SEE IN THE MIDDLE OF IT

 

AND LASTLY THERE IS WHAT I THINK IS A COUPLE OF STRESS CRACKS/MARKS ALONG THE HINGE AT THE BOTTOM, THEY DO NOT SEEM TO GO THROUGH TO THE INSIDE AND SO MAY BE PART OF THE MOULDING RATHER THAN CRACKS, THEY DO NOT HINDER THE OPENING AND CLOSING OF BAG, HINGE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION

A: Hi - I think what your see is reflection of something in the background as the mirror is not cracked but as you can see has lost a lot of the silvering around the edge of mirror. Regards Aaln
