This is a Superb Quality and Elegant Victorian Pine Double Bookcase or possibly Glazed Dresser

The bookcase has been made in solid heavy quality pine even the back is solid planked pine.

The Top of the Bookcase has two glazed doors enclosing two 1” thick solid pine fixed shelves. The two doors each have eight rectangular glazed panels, the bookcase has a working lock key,and the top has a very elegant moulded cornice, there is quite an interesting little detail to mention, below the bottom shelf there are lots of cup hooks indicating that the cupboard has been used as a dresser in the past

The lower part of the dresser has two doors these have moulded panels and enclose a long fixed pine shelf, the bottom doors also have a lock but I do not have the key and it stands on a moulded plinth base

This is a good piece of antique furniture, it has developed its own unique character and appearance over the years, it has a few dings as you would expect and the left hand side has had some repairs carried out but you can see these in the pictures, otherwise it is a very sound piece of furniture.

I think that this delightful and Very unusual Victorian Glazed Bookcase, Dresser, Kitchen Cupboard or Display Cabinet would be a wonderful addition to any antique Kitchen design but it also has that stand alone quality so would do very well as a bookcase or display cabinet with ample storage beneath

The cupboard is 75” high , it is 42” wide and 18” deep, but please note that this is a very heavy piece and it does NOT break down for transportation
