STUNNING!!!!!
This is an exquisite Victorian hand painted cup, saucer & plate that are in excellent condition. They have a white background and are decorated with posies of dark red roses and tiny pretty blue flowers that feature on each piece and on the inside lip of the cup. These posies are linked with pale gold fronds that form star-like shapes. The brims of each item are fluted and also feature embossed detailing. They are trimmed with gold. The combination of colours, styling and finish create a very pretty and eye catching set!!!!
The cup is 2.6" (6 cms) deep and measures 3.6" (9 cms) in diameter, not including the handle.
The saucer measures 5.6" (14 cms) in diameter.
The plate is just over 8" (16 cms) in diameter.
The base of the saucer and plate bear the makers stamp.
The set is in excellent condition - no chips, cracks, scratches or crazing. The colours are still clear and vibrant though the gold trims show some slight sign of wear though not enough to detract from the sets beauty.
