VICTORIAN CARVED SOLID MAHOGANY COMPACTUM WARDROBE/ARMOIRE MADE IN THE MID - 1800'S.

THE WARDROBE/COMPACTUM HAS A DEEP ARCHED, STEPPED, ROUNDED AND CARVED TOP CORNICE.  IT ALSO HAS 2 ROUNDED INSET FRONT PANELS AND A MAHOGANY DOOR WITH A SCALLOPED AND BEVELLED INSET MIRROR.  THE ROUNDED BASE HAS A LARGE DEEP DRAWER,  WHICH IS HAND DOVETAIL JOINTED.  INSIDE THERE ARE SEVERAL HANGING HOOKS.   THE FINISH AND ROUNDED BUN HANDLES ARE ORIGINAL.

 THE COMPACTUM MEASURES 48" WIDE X 21" DEEP X 90" HIGH.  INSIDE IT MEASURES: 42"WIDE X 17"DEEP X 53"HIGH.

A BEAUTIFUL HIGH QUALITY ANTIQUE PIECE WHICH IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR IT'S AGE.
