VICTORIAN ANTIQUE BAMBOO & RATTAN CABINET/c1900
This is a charming and very useful little bedside cabinet, or for that matter, not just a bedside cabinet but one that could fit in almost anywhere. It has a framework of wood and chunky bamboo, and all the panels are covered in rattan. There is plenty of storage space, firstly in the cupboard below which has a drop-down door at the front, then there is space for books or magazines in the middle shelf, and then you still have the top area for your lamp or whatever. It is in very good condition, although the top has a few marks and darkish areas and a couple of dengs, but nothing serious. I didn't get it re-covered because the whole piece is covered in very closely woven old rattan and it would not have looked appropriate to have changed the top.
Measures: 29.5in (75cm) high x 20.5in (52cm) square on the top.

But please remember that there is normal wear and tear, and it is not always possible to show that. We take a great deal of trouble over transporting our items, whether they are large or small. The large pieces of furniture, which go by road, are carefully handled by expert delivery drivers and the smaller pieces are packed very carefully, with lots of packing materials - the more fragile they are, the more packing and care they receive.
