This classic work of American humor was first broadcast on June 29, 1932. Vic and Sade were a married couple, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Gook, who lived uneventfully in a mid-western small town. Vic worked as a bookkeeper for Consolidated Kitchenware Company’s Plant Number Fourteen—and had married Sade after meeting her in her hometown in Dixon, Illinois. This show's amusing real life scenes vividly depicts small-town life. Poet Edgar Lee Masters proclaimed Vic and Sade "the best American humor of its day."
