Swiftech
Marine VHF radio transceiver M168
If you
would like to hear it being used click below on "sound"
sound
(you do
need your sound turned on of course)
This Marine
VHF radio was set removed from a vessel undergoing a refit
and is
in full working condition with the standard UK channels
(including
Marina 1&2/Coastguard/London VTS)
It has
the standard 1 and 25 watt broadcasting selection
power lead
& microphone bracket
You will
need to feed it with 12 volts (fused power lead supplied)
and fit
an aerial to transmit
(if you
only wanted to listen to other stations broadcasting a bent coat hook would
suffice)

|
It
has many advanced features (see manual for full details)
|
- Immediate
channel 16 M1/M2
- RX/TX LEDS
- Scanning
for chosen channels
- Scanning
for 16 alternatively between chosen channels
- DIM key (bl**dy
useless feature, but then you might like it)
- External
speaker jack
- Hi/Lo power
indicator
- Optional
North American mode
- Memory
- An operating
manual
- Rotary channel
change (I do so like this approach)
|
|
It
would be ideal for vessels needing VHF to comply with the recent PLA requirements
|
|

transmitting on
low power channel 14
