Please note that items are usually dispatched within 7 working days of cleared payment, generally on the TUESDAY following. If this constitutes a problem for you, please either don\'t bid or else let me know via the Ebay messaging facility (not email) and I will do my best to help. Please don\'t mark me down on dispatch time as I can only post once a week! I do not inflate postage charges - I charge at estimated cost plus £1 towards expense of bubble wrap and new, double-walled boxes. Overseas packages under 2kgs are posted using ISF Registered Airmail - this costs me £3.50 on top of the normal airmail price but it is worth the extra for safety. Please take a moment to read my terms. Thank you!
HERE IS A VERY FINE QUALITY PORCELAIN CABINET PLATE, HAND-PAINTED WITH A BOTANICAL DESIGN. IT WAS MADE IN ENGLAND AROUND 1820-30, POSSIBLY BY DERBY. THE PLATE IS UNMARKED.
THE PLATE IS RICHLY AND BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED - IT IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!
THE CENTRAL PANEL IS SKILFULLY PAINTED WITH WHAT LOOKS LIKE ORANGE CONVOLVULUS AND A BLUE DELPHINIUM (I AM NOT A PLANT EXPERT, SORRY!).
THE BORDER IS DECORATED WITH DARK UNDERGLAZE BLUE, FINISHED WITH ELABORATE AND VERY FINE QUALITY GILDING. THE RESERVED PANELS CONTAIN SPRAYS OF FLOWERS.
THE PLATE MEASURES 9 1/4 INCHES IN DIAMETER.
THERE ARE NO CRACKS, HAIRLINES, CHIPS OR RESTORATION. THE GILDING IS GOOD WITH ONLY A VERY LITTLE WEAR TO THE INNER BORDER.
THE PLATE HAS FINE ALL-OVER CRAZING - NOT OBTRUSIVE.
******** PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS THE THIRD OF THREE PLATES **********
PAYMENT: PAYPAL, credit/debit card (via PAYPAL), UK personal cheque or postal order. If postal orders are crossed, they can't be cashed immediately and must be paid into a bank. PLEASE NOTE THAT I DO NOT ACCEPT ANY MONEY ORDERS.
UK POSTAGE: All shipping is via some form of Registered Post. All items are securely packed. UK Postage is via First Class Recorded or Special Delivery. Recorded items are insured only up to £34 in value. Please use Special Delivery option for more valuable items. Insurance up to £500 is included with Special Delivery price.
PLEASE NOTE THAT SPECIAL DELIVERY DOES NOT MEAN NEXT DAY DELIVERY - THIS POSTAL METHOD IS USED BECAUSE OF THE LEVEL OF INSURANCE AVAILABLE FOR ANTIQUE ITEMS, NOT FOR SPEED OF RECEIPT. Items are usually dispatched within 5 days of cleared payment, generally on the TUESDAY following. If you do not agree with these terms, or with the P&P price quoted, please do not bid on the auction.
INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE:I will post worldwide, using International Signed For (Airmail), Airsure or COURIER (for heavier items). I will not post by Surface or unregistered Airmail, please don't ask! Via Airsure or ISF, items are covered only up to £34 in value. Further insurance is optional @ £2 extra. This covers up to £500 (£250 to certain destinations) in market value. I cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to uninsured items. I use large bubble and strong boxes to pack. PLEASE NOTE: COURIERED packages of ceramics/glass/ antiques cannot at present be insured for damage.
I use large bubble & new sturdy, double-walled boxes to pack, which may be heavier than normal boxes (and therefore a bit more costly more to ship), but offer a much greater degree of protection for fragile items. Please be assured that I make every effort to pack items very securely, but I cannot be held responsible for items negligently damaged by the postal system. I will, of course, offer every assistance in any claims for compensation from Royal Mail.
