Used Sony VAIO VGN-FS315B PC Notebook Laptop

You are looking at a Used Sony VAIO VGN-FS315B PC Notebook Laptop

The laptop itself is about 4 years old and has been a really good laptop for general web surfing and watching DVD's, etc.

The spec of the laptop is shown above, however please not that the RAM has been upgraded to 1GB (up from the original 512MB), and also there is NO OPERATING SYSTEM PROVIDED. This is due to me stupidly losing the original installation CD's. However if you have your own copy of Windows then this can be installed on here no problem. The hard drive is completely blank and is ready for a clean installation of Windows. I had Windows XP on here from purchase and never had any issues. You can use the serial number printed on the base of the laptop as this is a legitimate serial number, also.

There are a few other points to be aware of before bidding:

1. The battery has been over charged through most of its life and as a result only lasts about 20-30 minutes so it is recommended to be plugged-in at all times, however a replacement battery can be purchased from eBay for around 40 quid or so which is twice the capacity and thus should last a long time.

2. One of the rubber feet repeatedly dropped off, however has been glued back into place - aesthetically you can't tell, but a point worth noting never-the-less

3. And finally the side panel/DVD tray cover has recently become loose and has recently fell off. However this does not affect the operation of the DVD's drive or performance, and if careful I doubt it will become a nuisance

Plus side to this laptop is that for general web browsing, word processing or movie watching it has been very reliable for me over the years and am starting the bidding at only 99p

Reason for selling is due to recent upgrade, thus making this surplus to my requirements. It'd make a great, cheap xmas gift for someone wishing to simply surf the web or word process, but PLEASE note that the laptop does NOT come with Windows installed
