This unusual Cornish serpentine clock is quite large and heavy, measuring approx. 8 1/2ins. square and 2 1/2ins. deep. It weighs in at 9 1/2lbs. or 4 1/4kgs. It is fitted with a wind up clock which is signed Precista and Made in Germany, which is in good working order. I would guess that is dates from the 1950's. The serpentine itself is also in very good condition with no chips or cracks, what looks like a crack between the 12 and 1 oclock is part of the sepentine grain. As this is so heavy I would welcome pick-up from my home in Wandsworth, S.W.London.
