Unissued, 1937 Ptn: "BRITISH ARMY MK.3 WEBBING POUCHES"

A pair of unblancoed, unissued SOLDIER'S MK.III WEBBING POUCHES. These pouches have brass prongs on the reverse, which enables them to be attached to the standard British Army 1937 pattern web waistbelt. There's also buckles at the top on the reverse, which accommodates the ends of the 37 ptn cross straps.
These pouches are the best available, and although early 1950's dated, are IDENTICAL to those issued towards the end of WW2 (the "quick-release" buckles being introduced from 1944). They have the correct brass fittings as well - not the black metal fittings so often seen on 1950's webbing. Pouches like these would have been worn by a range of forces, including - the Army, Airborne Forces, Parachute Regiment, Commandos, Special Air Service, Long Range Desert Group, Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Chindits, and the RAF Regiment.
These are becoming increasingly difficult to find nowadays in this condition. These are the best examples around!
