Modern fuel injectors are incredibly precise (and highly expensive) pieces of equipment and need to be kept in peak condition.

Just like all car parts, fuel injectors accumulate reside and deposits which over time can impair their performance severely.

Fuel injectors should produce a powerful fine spray. However, as deposits form on the workings of the injector and on the nozzle, the spray can be uneven, weak or more like a stream instead of a mist.

First, we bench test the injectors for function, resistance, solenoid continuity and response time.

Next, the injectors are treated in our commercial, heated, ultrasonic bath for a whole hour. Fresh injector cleaning solution is used for every set of injectors - we never re-use dirty solution.

We cycle the injectors through the firing frequencies they will experience in everyday conditions whilst they are in the ultrasonic bath to ensure the injectors perform well in all driving conditions.

We then replace any parts that we can (o-rings, inlet seals etc where possible) then lightly lubricate with fully synthetic oil before carefully wrapping and preparing for despatch along with our written report.

		How does ultrasonic cleaning work? Ultrasonic cleaning has been used for years on very delicate items such as jewellery. The process cleans grime from surfaces where scrubbing would severly damage the part you are trying to clean. This process was soon recognised by those in the motor trade and is now a highly respected method of restoring fuel injectors to as-new condition. Ultrasonic cleaning works by a process called cavitation. Incredibly fast vibrations set up ultrasound waves in the cleaning fluid. This causes the formation and subsequent rapid implosion of millions of tiny bubbles. The bubbles are formed all through the fluid including the fluid inside the fuel injectors. The ultrasound waves also make the bubbles violently implode. This continuous formation and destriction of bubbles, along with the solvent action of the cleaning fluid rapidly breaks down even the toughest deposits from fuel injectors, leaving them in near-new appearance and performance.

		Are the injectors easy to remove from my car? This varies from car to car but the injectors are usually one of the easier parts to find on a car. Complete removal can take from 15 minutes to about an hour for really difficult ones. There are lots of removal guides online (try a google search) and if you really get into trouble please email us for advice. We are genuinely only too happy to help. Your purchase is valid indefinitely as well (just keep your paypal receipt safe) so you can relax and get your injectors to us when you can.
