The model is the M2004 Cyclone in good normal used condition and working perfectly, fitted with a STI85-0200 plug and play USB cable. The cable alone costs over £40 to buy on the open market. Please note that as with most of my Symbol scanners, these are available with RS232 or keyboard wedge cables instead of USB if preferred. These scanners have a unique design and give you all the scanning modes you would ever need. The default settings are as follows : When stood on a surface they automatically project a dense revolving pattern of laser lines (see picture) that is sure to pick up the barcode instantly no matter how it is presented. When picked up they instantly convert to powerful single line laser mode for point and shoot operation using the trigger on the scanner stem. There is also a third mode of operation accessed by pressing a button on the top of the scanner which projects a wide 'raster' band of laser lines perfect for reading PDF 2-D barcodes. The scanner is complete with USB cable and works out of the box and no special drivers, software or separate power supply. When a scan occurs the characters from the barcode appear on screen at the current cursor position as if they had been typed in, so any application that will accept typed characters will work with this scanner ! The scan range on medium density codes is a maximum of about 6 to 8 inches, and instant reads are made even on awkward codes with the minimum of experience.
