It is made from a very modern material which is Rip-stop Nylon.
This makes it extremely light, in order to reduce carrying weight.
It also reduces the size required to store in your back pack.
Neither of these factors detract from the performance of the product.
It is described as 'US Style', as that is the basic design shape that it copies.
It also is multi-purpose, and can be used as a waterproof Temporary shelter, (like a Tarp or a basher), as well as a waterproof sleeping bag cover.
If you have more than one, they are designed so that they can attached together to for a much larger shelter.
It is a modern designed versatil product.
Please DO NOT expect to receive a Genuine US Army Surplus old style Poncho, the type that would weight up to 5 times as much, & take up to 4 times the pack space.
