UNIQUE VICTORIAN WHITBY JET DROPPER BROOCH


















On offer is this extremely unusual Victorian brooch, unlike any I have ever come across before or am likely to again. Striking and extraordinary, this is a real collectors piece.

Impressive in size, the design is so unique that it is difficult to categorise.

Superbly hand carved in Whitby Jet, made in sections that have been assembled together to form this very rare design. Photos can explain much better than I can!

Original brass pin plate to reverse with tube hinge and 'c' catch, all in good order. 

Measurements: 6cm wide with a drop of by 5.5cm.
