UNIQUE CHESS SET

One of a kind. Very dramatic 1930s minimalist style.

Turned wood hand carved and finished. Specially commissioned in the 1930s - maker not known.

Probably beech wood. Black figures enamelled and then incised for contrast.

Each piece has an individually carved face.

King pieces 21cm (just over 8")  tall, other pieces proportionally shorter.































Pawns (matching but individually finished) 12.7cm (just over 5") tall.

One pawns slightly damaged on rim of its bowler hat. Another pawn face has developed a natural crack in the wood.

This complete set of highly stylised pieces is a joy to play with,

but is also highly effective used as décor in an Art Deco setting.

I do not have a Chess board or case for them but they will be well packed

Happy to post worldwide But Buyer must pay all postal costs, packed it weighs about 3.5 kilo

So be advised it could be expensive so please give me your location for a postal quote BEFORE bidding
