CUSTOMER GUIDE
A) Measure the floor area to be heated excluding fixtures like baths / sinks / kitchen units – you only need to heat where your toes can reach!
B) Decide if cable or mats are best for you! Tip – if it’s a complex shaped room then generally cable is best. If it’s a straight forward regular shape then mats are best.
C) Select a cable or mat sized to fit the room!

FITTING:

Each kit comes with fully detailed fitting guide. It really is straight forward there are just a couple of things to be aware of:

Electrical requirements:
a) Make sure you have a supply available – each mat or cable needs to be run off a 230 volt supply – this will be standard in you home.
b) You will need to have a 13 amp fused spur – make sure the total amps for you heater does not exceed the capacity of your supply.
c) Consult your electrician if in doubt or give us a call!
d) In wet areas (bathrooms / shower etc) the controller should be mounted outside the room.

Floors:
a) Concrete floors should be level and clear of any rubbish.
b) Wooden floors should be stable and prepared for the final floor finish. The floor will require priming to accept the adhesive or levelling compound. Your tile or flooring supplier will be able to help you with this.
c) Bituminous floor coverings: these will need to be insulated with one of our floor insulation products prior to laying the heaters.

Floor Insulation:
a) On all floors the installation of floor insulation will increase the performance of the heating by substantially reducing the heat up time and reducing your electricity cost! See our listings for further details.
b) In areas of high heat loss i.e conservatories floor insulation is a must!
