VERY RARE UNDATED 20p COIN MINTED IN ERROR BY THE ROYAL MINT IN 2008

 

UNDATED ON BOTH SIDES AND IN EXCELENT CONDITION

THIS COIN WAS RELEASED INTO CIRCULATION BY MISTAKE WITH NO DATE ON EITHER SIDE ,THIS MISTAKE OCURRED WHEN THE ROYAL MINT USED THE NEWLY DESIGNED TAIL SIDE, ON THE REVERSE OF THE OLD DESIGN QUEENS HEAD SIDE ,BOTH SIDES HAVING NO DATE.

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN 300 YEARS THE ROYAL MINT HAS MADE SUCH A MISTAKE ,RESULTING IN A VERY VERY RARE COIN ,THEY DONT EVEN KNOW HOW MANY WAS RELEASED ESTIMATED BETWEEN 30.000 AND 200.000, NOW MORE THAN HALF HAVE BEEN ACCOUNTED FOR AND TAKEN  BACK TO THE MINT WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN MELTED DOWN.  COIN COLLECTORS AROUND THE WORLD ARE JUMPING OVER THEMSELVES TO OWN ONE OF THESE COINS .

Stats- This 20p is 100% GENUINE ITS 21.4mm WIDE 1.7mm THICK AND WEIGHS 5g ITS MADE UP OF 84% COPPER AND 16% NICKEL
