Gold deathmask of Tutankhamun framed counted threadwork tapestry

Large - 2ft (24 inches) tall and 42.5cm (16 3/4 inches) wide in modern gilt wood frame.

NOTE: This is counted threadwork - it is not a kit! This means the tapestry maker started with a blank canvas and literally counted the position of EACH STITCH representing hundreds of hours of work.

Fine detail is exceptional - gold face and neck even shows "reflections". A fine and UNIQUE work of craftsmanship.

Due to size, weight and fragility we must ask that on this occasion this auction is on a Buyer Collects basis only!
