THIS IS A WELL NEAT PIECE OF KIT DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED BY MY MATES RON AND JOHN You clamp it to the thwarts or wherever and it holds your rod upright between drifts so you can't stand or fall on the damned thing ! Alternately clamped you can use it to hold you rod in whilst trolling ( if that is your bag ! ) It works ! Unlike others ! But then and again it should - it was made in England , by fishermen !
