"Trixie, My Shetland Pony" is a story about Dr. Keller's experiences with his first horse. Many of us dreamed of having our own dog or cat, but just imagine having your own pony! Little Ed brings us along for the excitement of getting the pony. He has summer days riding Trixie through the stock pond and shares how the pony is a comfort on those cold winter days. Keller once again weaves a memory story of his first horse Trixie along with all the events that make this an exceptional experience for the young reader. Artist illustrator, David Christy, fills each page with color illustrations of Ed and Trixie and all of their antics.

Hardcover. Unpaginated, around 60 pages. Copyright 2005. One of the Early Dakota Prairie Series. Glossy pictorial boards with light corner bumping. The pages are clean and crisp. Inscription reading "As it was in years past. Best Wishes!" and signed by the author on the title page. A very nice copy of this hard-to-find title.
