Here we have for sale a pair of Front 3G Performance Brake Discs for a Toyota Starlet Turbo (EP82)1992-96 / (EP91) 1996 on - 55mm centre GR-10(10 Grooved). We also have two more different designs available, (GR-20...20 Groove, RS-10....Grooved & Dimpled). We can also supply at additional cost a set of either standard or performance brake pads e.g Mintex Xtreme should you require.Part no: 3G-02029 GR-10Should you require 3G brake discs for any other vehicle please ask as we can supply these brake discs for 95% of the vehicles on the roads.For the past two years we have been concentrating on developing three discs designs that cater for all types of road and track driving. When used with the correct compound pad 3G discs have shown substantial improvements over OE equipment. Using Brembo castings allows us to cater for a HUGE range of vehicles and helps keep up to date with new models being released on the market. Please note: We manufacture over 3000 different part number of discs for vehicles, multiplied by 3 for the different designs gives 9000 pairs of discs, and stock changes daily, should we not have your choice of design at the time of sale they will be despatched and received to you within 3 days of purchase. The following brief explanations should help to give you an idea of the advantages of these features:GROOVES Found machined into the braking surface of the disc they act to 'clean' (deglaze) the surface of the pad, removing the glazed surface that builds up during the high temperatures experienced under heavy braking. The grooves provide channels for the removal of gases that are produced during heavy braking. It is this cushion of gas that forms between disc and pad that causes brake 'Fade'. The grooves are also said to play a part in the removal of brake dust / particles and cooling of the disc. DIMPLES These are blind holes machined into the braking surface of the disc. They do not pass right through the disc as a drilled hole would, but instead recess into the disc to a designated depth (Manufacturer dependant). The advantage of this is that they do not suffer from the same stress raising properties that cross drilled holes can be prone to, thus giving you a drilled look without the risk of fracturing. The dimples are also said to help with gas dispersal by giving the gas somewhere to go. Our own view point on this is that their purpose leans more to that of a cosmetic one.
