Tonika Russian bass guitar. Tonika guitars were Russian made and this one dates from the 1970's. They were one of the very best made Russian guitars but are rare and consequently not easy to find. They were very solidly made guitars and this bass has a very unusual shape to it - very stylish for the time and being Russian made. It has two pickups with two volume and one tone controls. The bridge is wooden and adjustable and a fixed tailpiece. The body of the guitar is in black with a red glitter scratchplate. It has 22 frets, and the tuners, cogs and fittings are of solid metal and very well made. This bass, as do many Russian guitars, requires a special cable with a jack plug at one end for the amp., and a din plug at the other for the bass. (This will be supplied.) Here is an opportunity to buy a very unusual and collectable but useable bass guitar! |
