Dear Parents, Grandparents and relatives,

I promise that you will not find stories like these on eBay or anywhere else. Our audio book tales and adventures are unique and really rather special. Playtime Books audio stories have been specially written and narrated with younger children in mind. They do not contain complicated words, long sentences or concepts that small children simply cannot grasp. 

While our first objective was to write and record simple fun stories for young children to enjoy, we also wanted our characters and narration style to help give children an early advantage. Indeed, Ann, our narrator, attaches a great deal of importance to making sure that our adventures are engaging and read at a speed that perfectly matches the child's age. Not only are our audio stories refreshingly unique, they are also astonishingly beautiful.

Because of my own daughter's enthusiasm for reading along and all the benefits it brings, we decided to make the read-along text available online for all our stories - just in case you have a keen little reader like mine!  

Parents and teachers know that children get the maximum benefit and most reward from stories when the little ones are able to understand and follow the narrative. And this is what we have set out to achieve with our audio story books.

My own young children both have a small portable CD player in their bedrooms and enjoy listening to a story before dropping off to sleep - it's a nice way to end the day. But regardless of whether you would like your child to benefit by listening to our great stories in the car, at home, while travelling or even on the computer, our audio books offer a fun way of stimulating your child's imagination and language development.
