The Tokai Thunderbird Bass features a SET NECK and Epiphone use a cheaper bolt on neck which is not how the originals were made. Necks set into the body offer increased sustain and resonance. The difference is that the TOKAI guitar will more faithfully represent the sound of the original Gibson Thunderbirds than the Epiphones and generally feature much higher build quality/playability to boot!!
The Tokai TB48 Thunderbird Bass features a gorgeous alder body, a set maple neck and two humbucker bass pick ups.
