Q: Is this an original equipment Remote Control?
A: Yes! This remote was the actual units as supplied with the Thomson TiVo's when they were sold commercially!
Q: I have heard the US Remote makes the TiVo respond faster?
A: Yes, It does seem to go faster but the US remotes also lack the AUX and VCR bypass functionality.
Q: Will it solve my double commands that my current remote sends?
A: Yes! I have a number of Silver TiVo Remotes and they all work just fine. Maybe yours is just worn out or someone spilt something on it so the button membrane is not responsive or sticks and sends multiple commands!
