Titchmarsh & Goodwin Period Style Solid Oak Dresser Base / Sideboard / Server
This fabulous quality dresser base was made by Titchmarsh & Goodwin who are arguably one of the finest period style furniture makers to date.
It's design is very similar to model RL.56 which can be seen in the last picture towards the bottom of this page, and in the Titchmarsh & Goodwin year 2000 catalogue model RL.56 was priced at £4125, so this listing provides a great opportunity to purchase an outstanding piece of furniture for less than a quarter of it's original price.
Established in 1920, Titchmarsh & Goodwin of Ipswich use only the finest British grown timber for their oak furniture, and this is evident throughout the dresser base as it's made entirely from solid oak, therefore it's very heavy and substantial.
The intentionally distressed finish and exposed wooden peg joints really do heighten it's period influenced design, and the solid oak plank back and floor give further indication to it's superior build quality, as does the plank bottom pot board.
The superbly constructed oak lined and dovetailed drawers are fitted with well turned knobs and finished with a neatly carved outline, and the beautifully carved inset panelled doors provide more decorative appeal, as does the deeply grooved Jacobean influenced decoration and the neatly carved raised panels.
A working lock with individual key is fitted to each door.
The condition is very good, with only minor marks of use to mention.
The height measures 35 inches.
The width measures 66 inches.
The depth measures 18 inches.

This item cannot be posted as it is too large and fragile. We carry out all deliveries in person, and each item of furniture is fully insured from the time of it's purchase to the time of it's delivery.
We deliver to most parts of mainland UK, but we advise that you request a quote for delivery before placing a bid or making a purchase so you are fully aware of the cost. We will combine multiple purchases to reduce delivery costs, and small items will go free with larger items.
We do not allow cash on delivery sorry.
Customers are welcome to collect, but by appointment only as we run an unmanned warehouse.
