Three Piece ANTIQUE Silver TEA SET Hallmarked 1904 NR

This is a really outstanding, heavy English ANTIQUE solid sterling silver THREE PIECE tea set which was made in Sheffield, England by 1904 by the famous Victorian silversmith, Charles Henry Hattersley at his Napier Street workshops. This wonderfully stylish and fine quality set comes from a private house and is in very good condition. It consists of a beautiful teapot, a pretty milk jug and a large two handled sugar bowl. Every piece is fully hallmarked with C.H.H, crown, lion passant (sterling silver assay mark), k or m showing that each piece was hallmarked in Sheffield in 1903 or 1904. This wonderful set has a stunning and very stylish Georgian half reeded shape with black ebonised fruit wood or composition finial and handle to the teapot. This set is a large full sized tea set, and is wonderful quality and substantial. The set weighs 595.3g - giving a total weight of almost 19 1/4 troy oz.
The teapot (capacity of over 1 3/4 imperial pints) measures 4 5/8" wide, 11 1/8" from spout to handle and stands 6 1/4" tall. The milk jug measures 2 1/2" wide, 5" from spout to handle and stands 2 3/4" tall. The sugar bowl measures 3 1/4" wide, 7 1/4" across the handles and stands 3 1/4" tall. The sugar bowl is in lovely condition with only the usual light surface scratching and no splits or repairs, NO distortion and NO dents or dinks. The milk jug is in lovely condition with only the usual light surface scratching and no splits or repairs, NO distortion and NO dents - just one tiny dink. The teapot is in lovely condition with only the usual light surface scratching and no splits or repairs, no distortion and just three small dinks or dents. The teapot finial is still firm with NO looseness to the hinge and little spring to the lid. There is no play to the teapot handle - with less than the usual wear. Very minor defects that I mention only for complete accuracy. A really lovely ANTIQUE set as you can see from the photographs - at a VERY low start and NO RESERVE. Postage will be 8.00GBP both within the UK and to international destinations.
