If you are taking part in a national Three Peaks Challenge during 2010, then you may be interested in our Training & Familiarisation Days on Scafell Pike. Get to see the area before your challenge.

These days offer a relaxed introduction to the area, and the opportunity to climb Scafell Pike from Wasdale with qualified and experienced mountain guides.

Our guides will explain basic navigational techniques using map and compass (and assist with your GPS if you bring one), and show you the key locations that require extra special care – especially in the dark.

Itinerary:

1000: Meet at The Green, Wasdale

Safety and weather briefing with your guide,

1030: Start climbing Scafell Pike

1700: Return to Wasdale

Optional drinks at the Inn..!

Included:

Group Leader (Ratio 1:8 maximum)

Loan of map and compass

Loan of safety equipment

Not Included:

Travel to/from Wasdale

Any food or drinks
