These Tremendous Years 1919 - 1938
A History in Photographs of life and events, big and little, in Britain and the world between the Two World Wars.
Published by the Daily Express in 1938 this book is a record of events in this period. It is well photographed and very varied. In that time there were wars and threats of war, two new kings and five Prime Ministers; the airplane had grown up, and television appeared on the scene.
When the professors write the history of this period will they leave out "Oxford Bags" (1924) and the beginning of one-way traffic (1926)?
The pictues in this book give you history, serious and not so serious. They for an album of the events of the between war years.
The book measures 11" x 8.5" and is in reasonable condition.
