I am delighted to offer for auction a first edition/first printing of the second book in Pullmans trilogy `The Subtle Knife`Published in the uk in 1997 this scarce first edition will be the next film to be released after the Golden Compass (Northen Lights) hit the screens late last year.A super investment with the guide books having fine examples valued at £1000.The book is as follows......

The book is bound in original green cloth boards with a bright gilt dagger motif to the front and gilt titles to the spine.This is a nice clean example with nice tight,square boards.Ever so slight handling wear else untouched.Internally the book is again in very good condition with clean pages throughout and no previous owner insciptions etc.The copyright page has the correct numberline for the first issue of 2 4 6 8 10 9 7 5 3 1 and has been signed by way of an official Pullman bookplate which seems to be covering a neat stamp.Lacks ffep which could easily be replaced.

The original dustjacket is in very good condition and remains unclipped showing the correct price of £12.99.Asides a couple of small chips this is a nice vibrant example holding its colour well and presenting beautifully on the shelf.

All in all a very collectable book offered with no reserve and a low start and watch the prices rocket when the film comes out.Please take some time to view my other items for many more first editions and please buy with coinfidence as although my feedback is still quite low this is because this is my new sight.I do have another with nearly 800 feedback .
