 The Penny Black, the worlds first postage stamp!

This unique stamp was produced between 1840-41 and is an authentic specimen of the oldest postage stamp in the world. It was officially postmarked during actual use,  which was 169 years ago!!! This stamp has the indentifiers, T (Left Lower Corner) and L (Right Lower Corner)

It comes with a hardshell case and insert, which is in good condition.

 Q: what is the condition of this stamp? Is it fully intact (the right lower corner appears to be cut into the margin). Are there any thins, reconstructions or other problems? thanks, Richard
A: The stamp is in excellent condition, in an airtight plastic pouch. It does have a cut off the lower righthand corner. No Touchups on it. Stamp was appraised at $750 as of a few years back. Let me know if there any more... Continue reading
