In this musical romance the wonderful Doris Day plays 'Babe' Williams, an employee's representative who has to put a case forward to her boss to secure a 7% increase for the workers at the Sleeptite Pajama Factory.  The boss Sid Sorokin (John Raitt) has different ideas not only from the point of view of money but also concerning 'Babe'.

It's quite possible that Sid will end up wearing the trousers in this particular dispute but that's not to say that 'Babe' will give in without a fight...

The brillant Doris Day at her super best!!
