This book printed in 1976 was Patrick Moores' ( Astronomer and presenter of The Sky At Night ) attempt to predict the future for mans exploaration of space.
One chapter, for example, predicted that there was a possibility of a fully manned Moon Base by the year 2000. In another there is the hint that nuclear rockets could be in use by the late 1980's.Throughout the book he stresses that these are mere theories and could be proved quite wrong, but they are fascinating never-the-less.
Written just after the end of the Apollo Moon missions this book is a fastinating insight into Patrick Moores dreams and aspirations of the future from 1976.
